This book originally appeared as the appendix to The Future is Calling: It Wants Your Stuff. I have also added a detailed summary of Michael Harrington’s The Twilight of Capitalism. It joins reviews of Socialism: It's Past and Future, also by Harrington, Democracy at Work: The Cure for Capitalism by Richard Wolff, What Then Must We Do? by Gar Alperovitz and a collection of other works read by the Metro Washington Chapter of Democratic Socialists of America. This edition is part four of a three book set entitled The Future is Calling. I included part of the original text for context on my reviews. It uses the original, more radical, language. The second edition of It Wants Your Stuff has been scrubbed for the earthlings and retitled as It Wants a Better Job.If you like this book and are a union member, a worker-owner or a capitalist in search of pardon, the companion book to this one is Questions for Employee Owners by Bindner Associates..
